Raised and educated in Washington, D.C. Princess Reema Bandar holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Vernon College of George Washington University. She is CEO of luxury retail corporation Alfa International, which operates the Harvey Nichols department store in Riyadh. Princess Reema is the former CEO of luxury retail corporation Al Hama LLC, (which for the past 15 years managed brands including Donna Karan and DKNY in the Middle East). She is the Founder of private equity fund Reemiyah and the Co-founder of Yibreen, women’s day spa. Most recently, she has taken the role of designer, Creative Director and Founder of luxury handbag and luggage brand Baraboux.
In the social responsibility front, Princess Reema has no shortage of roles either. She is a founding member of Zahra Breast Cancer Association (Guinness World Record holder for organizing of world’s largest human pink ribbon in 2010 ). She is the Founder of Alf Khair, the corporate social responsibility arm of Alfa International. And she is Saudi Arabia’s Committee Expert and Mentor for the Advancement of Women’s Leadership, in the Middle East and North Africa, for Women’s Campaign International.
Some of her awards and achievements include being named as: One of Business of Fashion’s Top 500 people working in fashion industry, 2013; One of Arab News’s Top 20 Arab Businesswomen 2008; One of Arab News’s Top 20 Women-Owned Arabian Companies in 2007 and 2008; One of Business of Fashion’s 500, 2012-13.
